CARLETON RAVENS AND TEAM 1200 TO AIR FIRST GAME AT ALUMNI HALL
The Carleton University Department of Physical Recreation and Athletics is pleased to announce Radio Station Team 1200, a member of the Chum Radio Stations of Canada, will broadcast live the February 8th Carleton University
- University of Ottawa men's basketball game from the brand new Alumni Hall & Sports Center. The Team 1200 will \"team up\" with Rogers Cable Television
(Ottawa-22) to simulcast the historic opening game of Carleton's new Thirteen Million Dollar facility.
\"I am very happy to see Team 1200 come aboard and join Rogers Television in broadcasting the Ravens \"Home Opener\" in the new facility, \" said Drew Love, Director of Physical Recreation & Athletics. \"This gives our Alumni and fans, in other cities, a chance to hear the game, as the Team 1200 has the capabilities of internet broadcasting. This is a winning situation for all parties.\"
The Ravens and Team 1200 have discussed further games like the upcoming OUA East post season. As the dates are firmed up and their are no conflicts with the Team 1200's other broadcasts of Ottawa 67's games (Ontario Hockey
League) and the potential of the Ottawa Senators (National Hockey League) returning to the airwaves, this could be the first of several simulcast games on the local Sports Radio Station.
