Carleton @ Queen's
KINGSTON, Ont. - The No. 7 Gaels lost 2-0 to the No. 4 Carleton Ravens at the West Campus turf field on Wednesday night.
The top-10 matchup was full of high-tempo action from the opening kick-off, with Queen's pressing early, earning two corner kicks in the first three minutes. But the Gaels went into halftime down a goal after Carleton's Joey Kewin beat Queen's keeper Dylan Maxwell (Vancouver) in the 38th minute with an off-balance shot from 25 yards out.
The Ravens thwarted the Gaels' attempts to equalize in the second half, and Andrew Latty managed to earn a second goal off a long throw-in at the 55 minute mark.

Sept. 3 - Laurentian @ Nipissing
NORTH BAY, Ont. - A well placed header was the difference on Tuesday night, as the Nipissing Lakers men’s soccer team fell 1-0 to the visiting Laurentian Voyageurs.
Cam Coulter was able to find the net behind Grainger Munro at the 41 minute mark to give Laurentian the lead and eventual win in regular season action.
The Lakers opened the game with steady pressure on the Voyageurs goalie but were unable to put the ball behind him, despite a number of great chances.
Carlo DeVuono, head coach, said the team came out flat in the first half.
“There were a number of chances we could have finished,” said DeVuono.
The Lakers kept the ball deep in the second half of the game, but were unable to capitalize.
Munro was forced to stay sharp in net for Nipissing as the Voyageurs were able to put a couple well placed shots on net.
Cale England had a great opportunity to tie the game up for the Lakers but Duncan Jobson made the save to uphold the 1-0 lead.
DeVuono said he was able to get a number of players on the field during the game, which helps set them up for Saturday’s game in Toronto against the University of Toronto.
Jean Michel Paulin was named the Lakers MVP of the game.
The loss gives the Lakers a 1-1 record so far this season.
