BADGERS WILL TAKE ON NCAA CHAMPS

"With a talented core of returning players which includes local standouts Brad Rootes, Scott Murray and Mike Kemp and some key recruits, we will once again be one of the top teams in the OUA West. Brock Basketball is the premier basketball in Southern Ontario with a very family fun atmosphere.\"
The Badgers will host the University of Florida Gators, the 2005-06 NCAA Division I Champions, in pre-season action at the Bob Davis Gymnasium on September 2, 2006. The Badgers will also be travelling to the state of Utah November 2-3 to take on NCAA Division I opponents Brigham Young University Cougars (Nov. 2) and the University of Utah Utes (Nov. 3).
The Badgers will open the 2006-07 non-conference season at home with three straight games from October 13-15. They will host Calgary (Oct. 13 - 7:30pm), Saskatchewan (Oct. 14 - 7:30 pm) and Laval (Oct. 15 - 2:00 pm). The Badgers will also be competing in three tournaments in 2006-07 including the Laurier Tournament (Oct. 20-21), Laval Tournament (Oct. 27-29) and Ryerson Christmas Tournament (Dec. 28-30).
The OUA regular season opens on November 10 when the Badgers play host to the defending OUA East champion York Lions at 8:00pm.
Men's basketball season tickets will go on sale June 5, 2006. For 13 home games save 18 per cent off the regular ticket price. The pre-season game versus the Florida Gators will be a special ticket price of $20 as fans will have the opportunity to see the Badgers against the #1 team in the NCAA.
