RAVENS ROLL OVER GAELS IN EAST SEMI
Carleton will host the winner of tonight's other OUA East semi-final between the York Lions and the Ottawa Gee-Gees. The game will be broadcast live on Rogers Cable TV 22. The winner of the other OUA East semi-final also joins Carleton at the CIS \"Final 10\" Tournament, as the division receives two berths in the championship tournament. The Ravens will be looking to win the OUA East post-season championship for the fourth straight year. Carleton sports a 21-2 OUA East record, and the Ravens have now won 10 straight OUA East regular- and post-season games.
The Ravens were too much for the Golden Gaels on this day. Carleton jumped out to a double-digit lead and never looked back as they held a 42-23 advantage at the half, and went on to win the by 34 points. The Ravens defense was excellent the entire game holding their Kingston opponents to 43 points for the game and only 20 second-half points. Carleton out-rebounded Queen's 27-19 and hit for close to 50 percent of their shots in the first half.
Fourth-year Guard, Osvaldo Jeanty, fresh off being named OUA East Player of the Year, scored a game-high 17 points and added five assists in the victory over the Golden Gaels. Other Ravens in double figures were Aaron Doornekamp with 11 points and four assists, Jean Emmanuel Jean Marie with 12 points and Daron Leonard, playing in his first Raven post-season game, with 11 points.
Three members of the Golden Gaels scored eight points, Jonathan Daniels, Cameron Eby and Brendan O'Leary. With the loss, Queen's ends its season at 7-17 overall in OUA East regular- and post-season games.
