JEANTY NAMED CIS AOTW
There is no female nomination this week, as the CIS women's championships season ended a week ago.
Jeanty, a fourth-year commerce student from Gloucester, Ont. was named Final 10 tournament MVP and player of the game in all three Carleton matches as he led the Ravens to their fourth consecutive W.P. McGee Trophy as CIS men's basketball champions. Jeanty, who had been named CIS player of the year on the eve of the championship, averaged 23.8 per game in the Ravens three wins in Halifax, including 27 in the 73-67, gold-medal victory over Victoria. The 6-foot guard was chosen CIS championship MVP for the second time in his career, and has been honoured as player of the game in four straight national finals.
