The quarter-finals begin with the Queen's Gaels (5-0-1) looking to keep their undefeated season intact. They will host the Toronto Varsity Blues (1-5) in an East Division playoff game.
Queen's opened the season with an 86-3 victory over Toronto on Sept. 6. Chris Barrett (Vancouver, B.C.) led the way with four tries in that contest. Kasim Baluch leads the Varsity Blues with two tries on the season.
In the other East Division playoff game, the Brock Badgers (4-2) will battle the RMC Paladins (2-4). The two clubs met on Sept. 13 with the Badgers winning 65-0. Mike Berry (Trenton, Ont.) and Matthew McIlvaney (Stoney Creek, Ont.) led the cause with two tries each. Josh Whiteside (Bracebridge, Ont.) scored a team-high seven tries for RMC this season.
In the West Division, the McMaster Marauders (6-1) will host the Waterloo Warriors (4-3). Both teams squared off last Saturday with the Marauders winning 34-7. Keegan Shelby (Lindsay, Ont.) scored three tries for the Marauders. Richard Lebel (Waterloo, Ont.) has scored six tries for the Warriors this season.
In the fourth quarter-final game, the Western Mustangs (4-2-1) take on the Guelph Gryphons (4-2-1). Both teams waged battle last weekend, with Western finishing on top 46-23. Conor Trainor (Vancouver, B.C.) scored three tries for the Mustangs in the match. Thomas Sobotka (Mississauga, Ont.) led the Gryphons with eight tries on the year.
The winners of the quarter-finals advance to the semi-finals on Nov. 1.
