CARLETON REMAINS UNDEFEATED
Eighth ranked Brock Badgers dropped to second place in the South division with a tie and a loss coming at home. The Badgers tied York 1-1, as the Lions drew even in the 80th minute on a timely goal by Paul Curcio. Erind Hametaj scored for Brock. On Sunday, the Badgers hosted the Toronto Varsity Blues, with Toronto taking the game 1-0. Jose D'Amora broke the scoreless game open in the 56th minute. With the win the Blues sit atop the North standings, one point ahead of rival York.
Toronto also downed McMaster 8-0. Veteran Sean Myers contributed four goals, wile Jame Bialy netted two. Luciano Lombardi recorded his second shutout of the weekend. McMaster battled to a 0-0 tie against York.
Ryerson claimed two wins this weekend as they vaulted into first place in the South division. Saturday, the Rams defeated Laurentian 4-0. Rookie Radu Melnic and Patrick Santoro each scored twice for the Toronto team. Erik Waisman was awarded the shutout. Santoro was back at it again Sunday, netting two more in the Rams 3-2 win over Nipissing.
Guelph split their weekend games with a 3-1 loss to Nipissing and a2-1 win over Laurentian. The Western Mustangs blanked Trent 9-0 as Kyle Washington and Mark Wandler each netted two goals in the win. Ryan Kelly was awarded the shutout. Trent didn't have much luck against Windsor either, as the Excalibur fell 5-2.
