Burlington, Ont. – Andrew Cox has been named Ontario University Athletics (OUA) Peak Performer of the Week for the period ending October 6, 2019.

Peak Performer – Andrew Cox, Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks, Golf

Before teeing off for the purple and gold at the OUA Championships, Andrew Cox put in one final invitational performance and did so in golden fashion.

Cox topped the leaderboard in the final tune up event before the banner season finale, collecting rounds of even par 71 and three-under 68 over his two rounds of play. His performance not only secured him top spot at the Windsor Invitational, but also buoyed his Laurier squad to their second team gold of the season after capturing the Waterloo/Wilfrid Laurier Invitational earlier in the year.

Cox, who was joined on the all-Laurier podium by Henry Luel and Jaron Brown, will be looking for continued success alongside his Hawks teammates at Angus Glen this week for the provincial final.
