RAVENS TRIO TO SUIT UP FOR TEAM CANADA
OTTAWA - Three members of the four-time CIS National Champion Carleton University Ravens - fifth-year guard Osvaldo Jeanty, fourth-year guard Ryan Bell and third-year forward Aaron Doornekamp - have been selected to the 2006 Canada Basketball Men's Senior team for their European trip to participate in eight games from July 21 to August 6, 2006. They will join their head coach, Dave Smart, an assistant coach for Team Canada.
The three Ravens were the only Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) student-athletes selected out of the 15 players traveling to Europe. The team will travel to Italy, Germany and Slovenia during their 17-day trip.
