    AJAX, Ont. ? A memorable season for the Gryphon baseball team ended abruptly on Thanksgiving weekend at the 2019 OUA Championship Tournament in Ajax. The Gryphons, who entered the 14-team conference championship tournament following an impressive regular season that saw them post a 10-2 record versus OUA opponents, got off to a fast start in round robin play.

    GUELPH, Ont. ? After an impressive opening weekend by the University of Guelph's men's and women's soccer teams, it is a pair of talented defenders sweeping the first Gryphon Athlete of the Week honours of the 2019-20 season. Sayan Ladhani, a third-year defensive midfielder on the women's soccer team, and Moses Kafeero, a rookie defender on the Gryphons men's soccer team, have been named Gryphon Athletes of the Week for the period ending Sunday, September 1, 2019.

    GUELPH, Ont. - Coming off of a win Thursday night, and now getting to return to Guelph for their home opener, the Gryphons had plenty of momentum heading into their Saturday night date with the York Lions. Led by their captain Mikkel Aagaard, the Gryphons took full advantage of that momentum in a 3-1 win over York. Guelph used a consistent attack, scoring one goal in each period en route to a second straight regular season win.

    GUELPH, Ont. - The road to four straight OUA Women's Rugby championships is alive and well for the Guelph Gryphons. The three-time defending champions are heading back to the OUA Championship game after taking down the McMaster Marauders Friday night at Varsity Field. Scoring 13 tries, the Gryphons rolled to a 77-24 victory over the visitors from Hamilton. With the win, the Gryphon's also punched their ticket to Nationals which will take place in Ottawa at the end of October.
