WATERLOO, Ont. - At the Wilfrid Laurier swim team's home meet the pool rocked not only from the great swims, but also from the great tunes provided live on deck!

"The team had a number of swimmers really stepped up in their performances today," said Laurier head coach Nandi Kormendi. "Brittany Shaw was the not only the best she's been this year, but the best she's ever been - only 100th's of a second away from her first CIS qualifying times."

Nemanja Colic swam all best in his three breaststroke events, winning the 200m. Renee Dijk added two more CIS cuts (50 and 200 back), crushing the field in the 200 back.

"It is always good to be able to count on Whitney Rich to come away with the wins - her three golds helped us out in the scoring in a big way as well, " said Kormendi.

With the OUA championships only two weeks away, the results show the team is on track. Racing against strong teams from McMaster and Guelph, the Hawks were right in the thick of the races, with the women's team winning seven of the 16 events.

The Hawks women's team was second only to McMaster, with the men's team placing third behind McMaster and Guelph.
