(Kingston, ON) – Carleton's relentless pursuit of goal sparked a big first half as the Ravens netted four goals in total to hand RMC (0-3) its third consecutive loss to start the season. The Ravens controlled the majority of 90 minutes against an undermanned RMC team, who saw defender Simon Leslie receive a straight red in the early stages of the game.
Mekonen Lovemore-White (Ottawa, ON) scored his third goal of the season in the 5th minute before Theodore Lopez de Castilla (Ottawa, ON) netted his first goal of the year in the 13th, following the RMC red card.
Leading 2-0 in the first fifteen minutes, Carleton added their third goal on their third shot of the half as Lovemore-White calmly put one home in the 43rd minute for his second tally of the match and his team-leading fourth goal of 2015.
With the Ravens in complete control heading into the second half, first-year midfielder Dante Cobisa (Ottawa, ON) opened his CIS scoring career with a nice finish in the 66th minute to put the game away for good.
Sandy Mackie's decision to start rookie keeper David Monk (Oakville, ON) in goal was rewarded as the 6'4 backstop made 5 saves for his first career win and shutout.
Carleton moves to 2-1-1 in 2015 and they currently sit in 3rd place in the OUA East division.
