KLIMAN SCORES TRY AS WESTERN TRIO LIFTS CANADIAN U-20 RUGBY TEAM TO WIN

NAGOYA, Japan - Canada sought its first win in play at the 2009 Toshiba Junior World Championships in men's rugby against Uruguay on June 17.

After a close loss to Tonga and tough losses against Australia and Wales, the Canadian side rebounded against Uruguay to win 29-11.

Three Western Mustangs on the Canadian roster started against Uruguay, including Andrew Crow (Victoria, B.C.) who started at No. 8, Conor Trainor (Vancouver, B.C.) and Jesse Kliman.

Kliman (Victoria, B.C.) scored Canada's first try from the flanker position, capping off several phases of powerful rucking to go up 5-0.

Canada led 17-3 at the half and held on for the 18-point win - their first of the tournament in four games.
