the period ending September 15, 2014.

MALE: Adam Paish (Mississauga, Ont.) – 7th yr. – Western Mustangs – Baseball
The Mustangs PhD student recorded his 20th career OUA win against the Ryerson Rams on Sunday. Paish pitched five scoreless innings, allowing just three baserunners on two hits and a walk. He struck out one Ryerson batter leading his team to a 10-3 win. Western swept its doubleheader against Ryerson, getting back to .500 with a 2-2 record.
FEMALE: Cindy Nelles (Belleville, Ont.) – 4th yr. – McMaster Marauders – Rugby
Nelles was instrumental in McMaster’s 21-20 upset over a Queen’s Gaels squad that had not lost a regular season game since October 1, 2012—also at the hands of the Marauders.
She directly contributed to the scoring on three McMaster tries, crossing the line for one score of her own. Two of her other runs led to easy layoffs for tries scored by teammates Colleen Irowa and Katie Svoboda.
On the other side of the ball, Nelles led the Marauders defensive line in the crucial victory against the no. 2 team in the country.
